Managing Director – Solar Business Unit Job
· Responsible for all aspects of the management and performance of the Solar business unit.
· including profit and gross margins, product development and personnel.
· He/she is responsible for the creation and execution of the business unit business plan as well as
leading the long range strategic planning for the business unit.
· ensures the appropriate actions based on the projection of market trends, forecasts and competitive analysis are taken.
· Responsible for communicating the business unit’s strategy and product plans to the entire organization
as well as to the external stakeholders, whether customers, suppliers or others.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent plus 10 or more year’s Solar business experience
with a preference for work in a global organization.
· Management experience with demonstrated strategic leadership
and ability to drive business profit goals through high performance teams.
· Demonstrated in depth understanding of the Solar technology market place.
· Ability to exercise good judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods,
techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
· Able to work with markets, anticipate customer direction and competitive pressures.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to plan and organize divergent business activities
· Ability to plan and manage in a changing environment.
